A bottle forgotten in the space under the stairs went through a heatwave but still quite nice -- with conifer forest tones, bright saturating berries, meaty prune, creamy chocolate. Rich and forward. Style reminds me of Santa Cruz Mountains CS with a touch more extraction. No real wood at this stage, maybe a hint of coconut that could also be heat related - it's shockingly stable to temperature.

May 4, 2019 - We ran out of wine before dinner was over so pnp'd this bottle. The nose is all fruit. The palate dark berries, dark plums, some licorice and dried thyme. Moderate to long was the finish. Along with the quick to pour scenario we had just finished a bottle of 2012 The Debate Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper so it was difficult for this bottle of wine to show its stuff.
