February 8, 2022 - Opened for Karen's birthday. Dark ruby with no signs of bricking. Lovely nose....dusty tannins, yes cigar box per PMJak11, cedar, black cherry, campfire embers, vanilla, Initially tart-ish, fleshes out with air, giving more sweetness. Very neutral palate at first, but gains traction. Elegant and classy wine.

March 13, 2021 - 1hr+ decant. Lovely purple, dark red color. Amazing nose of cigar box, dark cherries, and ever so subtle green elements. Wine was deep and chewy to start with a touch of vanilla and oak at the end, which wasn’t out of place at all! It did start to fade towards the end or I would have been @ 96. Reminded me of all those great Bordeaux’s we drank in London!! Finish was medium plus. Paired lovely with mustard and applewood marinated ribs.

Dense, juicy, vibrant, long, complex. Never comes off as remotely heavy or extracted. Balanced. A stunner of a cab and a great value at current price.2 people found this helpful Comment
