January 15, 2021 - Decanted 30 minutes but this stubborn Syrah still needs 2.5 hours to show its full body. Red and black fruit, black pepper, steel, roasted meat. My last of two bottles and I think I drank both too young.

March 10, 2019 - Bursting with clove, pepper and mint. Fades with air and alcohol becomes noticeable. Drink up.

August 24, 2017 - Needs air to unwind and was more approachable on the second day. Pepper, funk, and nutmeg on the nose. Rich carob, blackberry, Kirsch, and white pepper on the palate with medium finish. Not for novices.

May 27, 2017 - Popped and poured tonight. Full and complex with exotic spice notes dominating. Gamy and roasted or Smoked meats. Long acid balanced finish. No heat.

April 9, 2017 - Dinner with Friends (Hansel, Ridge, Jaffurs) (Willoughby, Ohio): Still young and I am glad to have one more bottle. I should have given it some air. Purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, roasted meats, slight black pepper and slight char. On the palate, this is deep but still full of fruit. Not much layering or age showing. Delicious without being over the top though. Black raspberry fruit, slight blueberries. Juicy acidity. Long finish. Delicious right now. A couple of points of upside though to holding it.
