Community Tasting Notes 4

July 23, 2011 - 4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house): Pale color. Similar aromatics to the first wine- florals and peach. Differs on the palate thought - brighter acidity, with peach and citrus qualities.

May 18, 2011 - Mineral, tight, refined, delicious and easy drinking. Fresh, vibrant, ready to go. Great minerality, been in the family for 14 generations. Saint Cosme is apperently the original town of Gigondas.

July 18, 2010 - Interesting white wine from Southern France, has almost strong nose and taste even at cooler temps. 50% viognier, 50% sauv blanc. From a preservation machine. Inviting almost strong nose of grass, greenish nectarine, some mineral, citrus. Lively acid in the mouth with glycerin and sharp puckery citrus (lemon?), nectarine, white melon, stones. Finishes with some buttery citrus, wood, some pseudo-sweetness, with herbal hints. Body medium, acid medium plus, dry to off-dry.

May 24, 2010 - Three days open, which is pretty piss poor salesmenship if you ask me. Still seems to be alive and kicking, although "kick" is a bit to vigorous is a bit descriptive for this wine. Maybe its just the time open and the warmth of the bottle but this doesn't seem to be worth $14.
