December 12, 2017 - Definitely WAY past it's window - couldn't drink. Found for low price (circa 20 USD) and gave it a try, as it's one of our favorites. Oh well - it was fun to open.

February 27, 2009 - 3rd bottle of this wine. Popped and poured. Dark purple with nice nose of plum and earth. Heavy sediment.Cassis, plum earth and cedar on a big palate. Fruit subdued compared to prior bottles. Heavy wine, but no flaws nor tannin. Time to drink up. Well priced and well made food wine.

January 20, 2008 - Dark purple with plum and cassis on the nose. At first, sweet plum on the palate. Over time, balanced flavors of plum, cherry, earth and minerals. Very enjoyable. A fine barbera at a fine qpr.

November 10, 2007 - Ripe cassis on the nose; fullish, sweet depth on entry, some smoke and tobacco with dried flowers in the mid and after palate. Powerful and full bodied. Broadened during the eveing, with the the sweet cassis coming forward; slight chrysanthemum bitterness at close. Powerful fruit throughout, with combined wood and alcohol throughout. Went well with lamb loin chops. Probably best in another 3 to 5 years. Through off tremendous sediment fro a $25 wine. Should be decanted.
