December 24, 2020 - Really nice, but be patient.
Opened at 3pm, First sip Dry, tannic, aged, ripe fruit.
Hour later in glass, pruny, tannins have dissolved a bit
    2hr seemed the same.
Opened something else for dinner, and left this alone.
Small check at 41/2 hr, starting to turn around, cherry cola and fruit notes.
Colour seems to have brightened from the brick to ruby.
Decanted at 5hr, and drank over 2hr
Dry with plenty of tannin remaining, lots of fruit, floral notes, earthiness.
    Very dry
Really improved after the 4hr mark.
Lots of sediment in the bottle.

December 5, 2020 - Nose is a little oxidized, with leather and tar. Completely different story on the palate; rich, cocoa, coffee, weighty. Delicious.

August 20, 2017 - Garnet with some bricking. Several hours to air. Showing it's age, but holding up. Smoky, dark cherries and plums. Not much on the secondary with a medium finish culminating with tobacco and tea leaves.

September 6, 2016 - dark red. strong odours of fruit and licorice and sous bois. powerful in the mouth and lots of structure.. mature but good for another decade

November 10, 2013 - Opened, decanted, and then served and followed over two hours. Nose of dried roses, some tobacco and cherries. Good structure, with dark black fruits and notes of acidity that gives some lift. The floral/rose petal notes really started showing more the longer the wine was opened.

(GIACOMO BORGOGNO BAROLO LISTE) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-traditional w/ brownish hue; NOSE-traditional; earthy; rocks, mud bombs; cedar & hint of cinnamon; mushrooms; TASTE-very dry, classic; the tannins are ripping through my palate; nice earthy tones, but the flavors are more muted & tighter; young and could get better w/ time; a little awkward on the mid-palate; focused & well made; WS-94; GV-90
