January 7, 2013 - I liked this. Three years ago it was a beast, now the alcohol (14.5% abv) is well integrated with no overt heat. A moorish mix of secondary cigar box, and primary red fruits, chocolate and plum - good varietal expression. Good length.
Being perfectionist, maybe the elements of oak, acid, fruit are a bit amorphous [lost within one another], rather than individually clear within the overall structure, and synergistic.
