April 23, 2020 - Mid gold to bronze edges. Lovely tertiary aromas of honey, wet chalk, stewed peach. Vibrant, fresh acidity with a distinct mineral note, wet chalk and crushed rocks is met with a fleshy mid-palate packed with white peach slices, softened apricots, tart tatin and lemon curd. A toasty note and lightly buttered pastry and cooked oats give a texture that plays off wonderfully against the palate-cleansing acidity. Extraordinary length and for its age showing exceptionally well.

    Perfect cork no seepage
Light gold colour showing much more evolution than my last note.

Nice balance but this is at the end of its twilight years. This was kept in a cellar since original release but has barely managed to make it past year 10. Concerning.

    Drink up now.

August 12, 2019 - Citrus, pineapple and vanilla nose. Lemon and tropical fruits with a slightly creamy feel in the mouth. Fruit and acidity are nicely balanced. Medium length finish. Yum!!

December 24, 2018 - Perfect cork, single long piece.
    Pale yellow colour.
Nose is lemon curd dominant with significant oak still at the fore. No nuttiness.
Palate has good length and lemon curd follows through. Oak tannins make the finish a bit harsh. Length and complexity are subpar for this chassagne in general rather than the clos itself. Still tastes fresh and young, no sign of oxidation.
    Meh.
Drink or hold, upside seems unlikely though.
