Community Tasting Notes 73

October 29, 2021 - Okay! You’ll see two tasting notes from me circa 2019 for this wine. At that time, I had two bad bottles, and I mistakenly believed the wine to just be bad. I now recognize that they were cooked- probably damaged in shipping or plain stored improperly. The bottle I just I had was fabulous. Great bottle of Bdx. Concentrated dark fruit, a little blueberry on the nose. Leather and dust and dark fruit on the palate. I have half the bottle left for tonight, and I will follow up with additional notes.

August 29, 2021 - Characteristic Saint Emillion but not their best vintage or effort. I’ve had a lot better bottles from this producer.
*4th night drinking really nice, needs to open up a bit. Rescored. Maybe just needs to age more.

November 11, 2020 - After three hours very drinkable but nothing to write home about. Short after taste and lacking complexity and depth

June 14, 2020 - Nice nose, but thinner than I expected on the first taste, a little tart, fruit not as robust. Not much of dried fruit. With time opened, but never as nice as I had hoped.

April 10, 2020 - This is gorgeous! This is almost entirely secondary at this point - cigar box, earth, and minerals, but there are still some hints of red berry fruit. Smooth. Still firm. Smells fantastic! It threw a lot of sediment and there is tons of bricking at this point. I'm sad this is my last bottle.
