December 28, 2015 - Not my style. Prefer a wine not so in your face. Lots of flavor, jammy. Any complexity that might be in this wine is totally buried.

December 28, 2013 - Jammy but tannic, could lay down for a few years. That being said it could easily be drunk now with rare meat.

A violet wine with a medium body. The nose is rich and fruity, with blackberry and plum. In the mouth the wine is smooth and has a nice weight, with tastes of blackberry, plum and hints of oak. The style is not quite over the top, but definitely highly extracted. The finish has good, solid length. Will please those who like this style. Very rich, I always have a preference for wines grown from older vines.

May 9, 2013 - Always a favourite. Great with pizza and ribs

April 7, 2013 - Deep purple and medium plus bodied. Michael-David and Lodi are not a combo known for subtlety. The nose is thick with dark fruits. Viscous in the mouth with extracted tastes of sun-ripened, jammy fruits. Hedonistic, if you are into the highly extracted, over-the-top style. And yes, the only thing petit about the wine are the two grape varietals - Petite Sirah & Petit Verdot. OK, not everyday, but sometimes it's just decadent to wallow in the enological excess.
