February 8, 2023 - Not sure this would be such a superb wine in its youth--and indeed I was not wildly impressed by the 2017 Beaurenard CdP--but this was quite an experience at 20 years of age. There was plenty of fruit, raspberries and cherries and damsons still there, but primarily the wine tastes of the time it has spent in the bottle, integrating, waiting to be uncorked. Dark ruby without bricking, it has the flavor of grenache and baking spice without heavy herbal notes, there's a sense of richness, with a long and delightful finish. (I didn't get any of the raisiny note sensed by another Tracker. This tastes old but it is by no means dead.) Served, appropriately, with leftover cassoulet.

February 4, 2023 - From magnum, double decanted off its sediment and served a few hours later with dinner. Plenty of red berry fruit along with hints of spice, clay and herbs. A raisin note that I didn’t care for eventually emerged, but otherwise it’s in a good place and a fine CndP.

April 12, 2022 - Ruby in color with a short brick rim.

On the nose black currant, black cherries, black plums, wet leaves, vanilla, earth, wood, vegetables, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, espresso and black pepper.

    Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, earth, vinaigrette, tobacco leaf, herbs and black pepper.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very enjoyable red blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Nicely aged with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Needed a couple of hours to open up properly. Spicy and interesting with lots of earth notes. Delicious.

This 19 year old is peaking now so drink up.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with fresh pizza.

    14.5% alcohol by volume.

    93 points.

    $70.

December 5, 2019 - drinking beautifully. Great nose, good fruit, complex finish and great flavor arc. Could go a few more years.
