February 14, 2013 - Drinking wonderfully. I wouldn't wait any longer for fear it might start to go downhill.

August 9, 2009 - Big, dark red brooding color, but a bit of transparency at the edges. Initial nose was closed except for some alcohol. Initial taste showed a big red with gritty tannins almost completely lacking in any Pinot Noir character. I poured the bottle into a decanter and left it for about 90 minutes. With time it is still closed, lacking ripeness. The fruit is dark and angular, hiding behind acid and gritty tannins. This could theoretically eventually turn into something pleasant to drink, but I'm not holding my breath. It isn't really flawed, just unrecognizable as pinot noir.

February 24, 2009 - Dark and brooding and starting to show its age. This was better in its youth. Brambly fruit with a bit of a zin character to it.

November 30, 2008 - still plenty of life in this one... a nice example of age on a Pisoni Pinot... bodes well for some of the 03's i have.

August 30, 2008 - Not your typical fruit bomb. Decanted for 20 minutes but should have decanted for 1 hour. Very well balanced. At first the nose was green and didnt have many Pinot characteristics. But as time elapsed, cherry and honey started to develop. The taste was burgundian. A lot going on. Tannins, minerals and bringing up the rear was the fruit. But again, wih time the fruit developed and turned out to be an excellent bottle.
