December 20, 2019 - A rather low cost Rioja from a great year. It is drinking very well. Nice earthy nose with good balance and nice finish.

December 14, 2018 - Still has nice depth, aroma and mouthfeel. Surprising after so much time in my cellar. I would not wait any longer, however.

September 8, 2014 - Had some 'funk' on the nose. Flavor was there, and it seemed to do better the more 'swirling' that was done. Next time, will decant. Possibly the 'I'm almost 10 years old and need time to reacquaint myself with oxygen' syndrome.

December 26, 2013 - An expected delivery for a measly $12, nice overall with white meat and some iberian embutidos.

October 8, 2013 - Nice nose! Very fresh with lots of red and blue fruit, coffee, brown sugar, dried herbs, spice and vanilla. In the mouth, nice and mellow with medium acid, plenty of fine tannin and a good wallop of alcohol. Nice balance but a little flat and simple right now. I suspect this will improve with age. 3 years? But, honestly I don't really understand the way Rioja ages.
