January 3, 2021 - Deep garnet in color with slight bricking edge. Nose of dark cherries, leather, and hint of mocha. Tastes of stewed cherries, plums, tobacco, and hint of scorched earth. Nice fruit for age. Primarily tertiary flavors. Lovely Spanish wine, but with a touch of New World. Drink now.

August 8, 2019 - Deep garnet in color with slight bricking edge. Nose of dark cherries, leather, and hint of mocha. Tastes of stewed cherries, plums, tobacco, and hint of scorched earth. Nice fruit for age. Primarily tertiary flavors. Classic Spanish wine, but with a touch of New World flavor. Drink now and over next 3-5 years.

May 19, 2019 - A bit of a funny smell on the nose when opening.
Some cherry & plums on the palate.
For a wine of this age it is still pleasant but I would drink soon if I had any left

May 13, 2019 - Coravin'd in Chicago, still a couple bottles left in my cellar. allowed to open in the glass a bit. Nice to check in on this at 20 years...

Notes from several years back:"Dusted old cherry, plums, smoke, cedar. Leather/oak nose and palate you get from many Spanish wines. Fruits still ripe for its age. Tannins smooth and resolved..."

Fruits still showing nicely from this bottle, similar to prior notes with more age. The wine is "old" but still very pleasant at this stage. Classic Spanish profile throughout, elegant and still expressive, wine will likely be in a tertiary phase in coming years, would drink soon
