  August 28, 2011 - Nose very old world with allot of earth, must, minerality, and typical burgundian fruit. Agree this wine is very angular and tanninc right now. I decided after tasting to decant through a ventruri and it seemed to help soften the tannins. After several hours it opened and became a very interesting wine with meat, blood, must, minerality on both the nose and the palate. I think this wine actually has some aging potential. Good wine for red meats. While somewhat tannic it had good acidity but rough around the edges.

  January 29, 2011 - 2008 Red Burgundies: Vincent Girardin (Vin Vino Wine): More punch and excitement on the nose than the "Les Gravieres" but slightly more dry and tannic. I like it at this price though.
