Community Tasting Notes 8

  • winchester-xi Likes this wine:

February 4, 2020 - Not the most complicated, but well-proportioned, integrated, and tasty. Generous peach and cantaloupe fruit followed by some residual sugar and a vanilla cream note, both framed by good acidity. There’s a vague spice note on the finish. Only showing faint signs of development, so maybe more bottle time will yield greater complexity.

September 9, 2016 - Til krabbe hot pot. Søte epler og lett tropisk frukt. Saftig vin, men savner litt syre for å balansere sødmen.

July 31, 2012 - Off-dry with good acidity; not overly complex and a little light bodied, but excellent balance overall, and extremely quaffable -- this would be very fun out of a Magnum. Began gaining a little more depth after half an hour. 8.5% ABV. 88+

September 27, 2011 - vibrant acidity, yellow and exotic fruits, medium length but great balance. Very good wine for a simple Riesling spatlese....Rheingau rules really.

July 24, 2011 - Yet again, an amazing effort from Weil in 2009. Rheingau spätlese at its best!
