December 4, 2005 - pretty good drinking wine, light and fruity.

June 21, 2005 - Lots of cherry -- on the nose and in the palate -- dominate this wine. This wine also contains asian spice and sage in the palate. While enjoyable, I liked the 2002 version better as it seemed both more complex and more integrated. That being said this is an enjoyable Caneros pinot.

June 17, 2005 - Opened not decanted. I really like the Cliff Lede wines, especially the Stags Leap appellations, such as their Claret, Cab and Poetry labels. However, no matter how much I try, I just don't like their Pinots. It hails from Carneros: bright fruit, with a taste that is more sour than sweet, but there is a stripped down medicinal taste that I can't place. I've been told it's not filtered, but something's been done to it, that I can't put my finger on. One more bottle left.
