  September 11, 2016 - The hastily chosen Birthday Bottle, since I wasn't sure about the restaurant (turned out to be right) and their wine glasses (above average). So conditions were not optimal. And this wine seemed just a touch over the hill. Mellowing down, lacking fruit, still acidic. Nice notes of flowers, but just not what I was imagining. Drink now.

  December 6, 2015 - Brought to restaurant for corkage, not decanted. Very expressive nose. Deep and big but not too big. Pepper, floral and black fruit notes are prominent and persist from nose to finish. The way Napa cab franc should be.
