    April 27, 2024 - Super enjoyable. Very round and buttery for a blanc de blanc. No crazy complexity but very drinkable and approachable

    April 25, 2024 - What a way to kick-start brother RN's birthday.. my first ever taste of Comtes!

    Lively, energetic with such fine and precise needle-like bubbles. What came across immediately to me was unripe young mango notes, and the aromatic bouquet on the nose was in full bloom. Light brioche, lemon and even a sea breeze.. I am in love!

    Good level of minerality kept building to a crescendo, I loved each and every of the 3 pours I had. This is spectacular!

    Finish.. nothing less then 50 seconds, remarbkable. As I had my last sip from the cutely shaped wide bottle, there was even some late sweetness. Great today, perhaps even better in 5-10 years!

    Thanksgiving dinner, we are grateful for health, friends and all blessings.. what an evening at Bref in TTDI, happens to be my first time enjoying DC's other kitchen here too!

    April 7, 2024 - Don & The Shrimpheads (Craig & Nita's Place): Light gold plus color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. It was fun to drink this 48 hours after having the first of my '08's. That '08 was absoluting stunning, and now revisiting this old friend that I also adore, did nothing to dimminish my feelings regarding the supremacy of the '08. But this '06 is a beauty too, as we we've said time and again. Effusive nose; toasty, deep baking bread, sour dough, apple tart, airy, crystalline minerality, pear, sublte nectarine. The palate shows fine stone, pear, bright, honey, lemon, lemon cream pie, toast, creamy texture, long and lifted. Great showing as usual. 96+pts.

    April 7, 2024 - Local Minneapolis Chef extraordinaire Don Saunders cooked for 8 Shrimpheads at my place. We highly recommend hiring Don to cook for in home events! Candace's btl in the same appetizer flt with Dave Ds take no prisoners, Krug 168me. Well as my buddies all know, Comtes de Champagne is my all-round favorite glass of champagne. And tonight was no different. My buddies and I have drank many btl of the '06 and it remains one of my favorite Comtes. I find Comtes to be one of the most balanced head turning ethereal glasses of champagne almost every time its in my glass. Want a sure thing, open a Comtes Champagne. Great flight to kick off a great night with Don Saunders "best in class" local Minneapolis St Paul food! 96+ My white of the night. Delighted to have recently acquired 2 more of these myself.

    April 6, 2024 - Birthday party (Chicago, IL): Pretty good bottle of this today -- it's a bit fresher and brighter than I remember it, and there's plenty of distinct chardonnay qualities here. Past bottles could get a bit mushroomy.
