January 25, 2024 - So my tasting note of 2015 suggested this was good thru 2018, but alas, that bottle, which I recommended, was less than ideal, as this most recent example proves. Certainly in its golden years, but how lovely they are. Some blocky oak that I recall not being a big fan of as this was released, but that's all integrated now. An elegant full body, with cool acidity, a touch of secondary fruit/aromas, and really attractive tertiary and soil notes that were consistently present during the two hours that bottle was open. I kept coming back to it, and it never once faltered. That said, I'd definitely be opening them sooner than later. Really happy to have revisited this fine specimen. If your bottle is as well preserved and fresh as this one, then it's highly recommended

June 5, 2023 - Opened an hour or so before drinking. Did not decant.
Dark fruit (black cherry, slight plum, slight blueberry), tobacco, herbs - slight rosemary, earth, good acidity. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable. 91+

September 15, 2021 - Slow ox for two hours. Terrific nose of black cherry, tobacco and herbs. Medium to full bodied, still youthful but showing early maturity, very good acidity and balance, long finish. Oak has become well integrated into the wine. Excellent. Can continue to evolve for at least ten years
