October 8, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – how to semi cheat in a blind tasting (Black Salt, Washington DC): Wine 1 - A hint of TCA. Too bad.

December 13, 2019 - Drunk at Giando's Hong Kong - Served blind against Rousseau Beze and this was roundly declared the winner. Much more open and ready than most young Faiveley's that I have tasted. Balanced and well integrated tannins. A nice surprise.

July 31, 2019 - Wine Group Dinner #169 - 2009 Gevrey Chambertin Grand Crus (Urbane Restaurant, Brisbane): Wow this is a step up ! The colour is a deep cherry red and the nose is immediately forthcoming with red and black cherry and raspberry, redcurrant and allspice. There are touches of rose and earth. The palate is complex and mouth filling with great shape and length that lingers nicely. A really delicious CdB.

March 24, 2019 - During a Paulée dinner, so only brief impressions. Dense and wild, lots of herbs, underbrush, spices. Nice complexity but a bit of a Bordeaux among the Burgs tonight.

January 3, 2018 - SLDS GC NY Traditional Tasting: Blind. Iron, earth and toasty oak. Really clumsy on the palate, like an overworked village wine without the fruit quality to stand up to it. Really awkward wine. Surprising when revealed, but not nearly good enough for its level.

2/2/2011 (link) 95 points(Faiveley Chambertin-Clos de Bèze) Medium dark cherry red color with pale meniscus; appealing, strawberry, roses, baked cherry, juicy red fruit, caramel oak nose with slight reduction; tight, ripe cherry, roses, refined raspberry palate, round and tasty but classy and classic too, needs 5-plus years; long finish 95+ pts.
