Community Tasting Notes 2

October 24, 2010 - Deep ruby with a purple shade. Youthful and compound with plum and black fruit notes. Very young and early to drink. Not promising to develop over time, though, as the fruit is not rich enough as well as the body and acidity. The astringent character to the end is not tolerable when the variety concerned is Syrah.

July 10, 2010 - very nice example of what a true Syrah should be. Near black purple, strong dark berries up front and a little spice on the finish that goes long enough (but could go longer).

    The wine looks Inky colored.
    The legs are Medium.
It smells like Black currant (cassis), Blackberry, Sandalwood, and Black Pepper.
It tastes like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), Fig, Stoniness, Sandalwood, Black Pepper, and Stoniness.
    The body is Full.
    The wine is textured Round.
    The wine finishes Medium.
