May 8, 2023 - River School Auction Tasting (Washington DC): Wonderful madeira. Youthful, bright, balanced. Saline and butterscotchy with orange rind and a bit of marzipan. Great persistence.

April 17, 2023 - Lucious, elegant and light, with orange peel and burnt caramel notes on a long frame. These are excellent. A step above the 40 Sercial with respect to balance.

June 8, 2014 - Second Sunday Group: 2001 CA cabs (Anvil Club): Caramel and sweet orchard fruit; nutty qualities as well. Rich texture with white fruit, pear liqueur and caramel flavors. Long finish. Delicious.
