September 28, 2013 - Was expecting something different, such a nice surprise. I don;t drink much New World Pinot except Hamilton Russell from SA and some NZ ones when the vintage is good. I find the taste of NZ PN unique in a dark, brambly kind of way. When I tasted this, the first thing I got was a brilliant beam of pure acidity...yes! I daresay the acidity is almost racy in this Pinot that brings to mind the NZ cousin of a citric acid in their best Sauv Blancs. This wine is drinking perfectly now, in my opinion. It could hold longer, but why waste the delight of the mouthwatering acidity and beautiful (non tarry) fruit? I enjoyed with a pepper-crusted seared tuna steak. Delicious! This could hold up with the most tomato -sauced dishes, as well,.

July 10, 2010 - Medium light in colour. Some subtle flavours coming through. Lasts through the mouth well. Good now, may develop more over the next few years. [screwcap, 13.5% alc]
