  April 7, 2020 - Matt rød/begynnende murstein på farge. Moden frukt, flott kirsebær/rosinfrukt, antydning til fiken, tobakk, urter, blomster. Uimotståelig smaksbalanse, pen friskhet. Flott barolo som går ned på høykant nå, bør ikke ligge lenger

  November 18, 2018 - Here we go atruffling... (aka Piedmont... and Veneto); 11/16/2018-11/30/2018 (Alba, Guarene, Modena, Barolo, La Morra, Lake Garda .....): I'm not convinced this bottle was in the best shape. Ordered off of a restaurant wine list. It was I think the oldest wine on the list. Originally poured chunky (tons of sediment). Could really have used a strainer and/or someone who knew when to stop pouring in the decant. Also poured a more orangish-brown color. Seemed to be over the hill. Fast forward 10 minutes (really not that long) and this is bright red and starting to kick. Held on for prob an hour or maybe a bit more. The thing that changed this dish was the meat plini with truffles. With that as an accompaniment this was all sweet fruits and leather and loveliness. By itself it tasted a bit old and stale. Overall enjoyable.
