  February 7, 2021 - Screwcap. Dull, brownish red colour. Nose shows strong fruit and earth: pickled cherry, raisin, and forest floor. Entry is light and ethereal, but the mid-palate brings fine-grained tannin and mouth-puckering acidity. Strong flavours of plum, cherry, raisin, and black tea. Pretty advanced, but still drinking well.

  April 8, 2017 - Opened to celebrate the life and achievements of Don Lewis.
  Still would have lived another 10 years, at least. Very explosive aromas of plums, tobacco, sage and leather. Chalky terse tannic structure gives it away as Nebbiolo. One of the best new-world Nebbiolo wines I've had, I have to say. A very memorable wine, beautifully structured and elegant yet quite powerful. Opened and decanted 5 hrs in advance and the little bit left in the decanter still tasted terrific the next day. No rush on this one.

  March 28, 2016 - Good value for $40. Tat sweet but became better as the evening progressed. Typical tannins with aussie neb characters coming through.
