  January 21, 2024 - Quite stern and austere although the fruit is still quite fresh (strawberry). Long and with some fine tannin and grip on the finish. Nose is beautifully florally perfumed. I think this has the structure and fruit to improve. Not sure it quite has enough energy though. Will throw the dice and try my last one in 5 years from now. 4-

  January 7, 2023 - Fine wine. All the characteristics of barolo with age (prune, menthol, balsamic, tar, mushroom). Fine structure with acidity and tannins supporting harming alcohol. Lack of mid-palate fruit weight, some earthy flavors lingering. Somehow, it felt a tired wine. Drink now, perhaps past peak?

  December 24, 2022 - Seriously flawed bottle. Color of prune juice, barnyard aromas, no structure or acidity and totally shot.
  
  Just goes to show that you never know when a wine hits 20 years old or so.
  
  Another bottle drank a year ago and purchased at the same time was worth a 93 rating....

  September 29, 2022 - Medium/deep garnet, pale garnet rim. Gently spicy, quite dark-fruited, medium/full bodied, a touch surly and tannic at the end.
