August 18, 2013 - Great nose. Mid palate a little disappointing (muted). But overall a very nice wine.

April 6, 2013 - Big jammy wine, really opened up on 2nd day. Tannins still young and will integrate more. Will order more for storage and will try again next year. But totally drinkable now.

October 24, 2012 - A real treat. This is the fourth vintage of this premium Napa Valley Cabernet I have had the privilege to taste, and I think each one gets a little better. You know that any grapes that can handle 20 months in new French oak have to reek of quality and intensity. This is a big wine. The color is as dark to the rim as a red wine can get. Has really strong legs. It is a thrill just to smell the nose which has fresh cut meat, even some rosemary, and of course plenty of dark brooding fruit. This is a full bodied, mouth filling, deeply intense, complex wine. A small sip immediately fills the mouth with refined blueberry, blackberry, cassis, and black cherry, amply backed up with secondary flavors like cola, tar, and wet earth. Super rich dry tannins. Impeccable balance. Handles all that oak with ease, and can age for a decade. Long, lingering, sophisticated vanilla and blueberry finish. It was fun to take a taste, then wait a couple of minutes for the wine to develop in the glass before tasting another. Great job.
