December 27, 2018 - This wine was delicious. It’s very definitely a big new world Cabernet but there are elements here which are sonewhat reminiscent of an old world wine: it feels like the winemaker was aiming more for elegance than pure power. It’s still plenty big enough though - if you have any left in your cellar they will age safely for many years.

February 15, 2014 - Tannins have mellowed. Nothing noteworthy with this wine. Color looks like what you'd expect at this point, slight bricking. Mellow and definitely peaked.

July 6, 2013 - Notes of cassis, vanilla, violets. Infanticide.

December 31, 2011 - An almost smoky, herby aroma. Smells a little like walking through a forest. Thick tannins... almost a dusty character on the palate. Liquorice and earthy notes on the palate. Very long, well balanced and quite powerful. Would go amazingly with a brisket with paprika sauce. Superb - one of the best wines I tasted in Napa.

May 14, 2011 - Let it decant for an hour and it opened up. A very big cab; dark fruit, leather and tobacco. Delicious.
