December 1, 2018 - Ken's 60th Birthday (Smyth and The Loyalist - Chicago IL): Baked fig, caramel, toasted almond and orange peel with broad array of spices. Good+ weight and length. Slightly less sweet than I expected, but perfectly pair with tonight's desserts.

December 1, 2018 - Delicious finale to a spectacular dinner. Rich and sweet yet nice acid cut keeps it well balanced. Full of exotic spices and dense toffee flavors. Comes across a bit lighter and more elegant then many Madeira’s in this age range.

September 23, 2013 - Wine, Browns and my 55th Birthday (My Home): Golden/orange in color. The nose is exquisite. I could smell it all night. Coffee, oranges, maple, milk chocolate and orange candies. Complex and layered. Not really sweet, just a perception. Long finish. Flavors of candied orange rind and chocolate. Got better with more air as the night went on. Beautiful wine.

August 17, 2006 - Well integrated sweetness. Comes across as very round and balanced on the palate. Very nice tangy acidic quality and caramel/toffee old wood flavors but lacks any real distinguishing quality; still, quite good.
