February 14, 2019 - 6 years since the last! Well, it's holding up well; in fact, it's fairly robust and spicy still, and I thought it'd be a little more aged and softened to be honest.

Dense coloring with garnet edges. Aromas of cassis, slate, and graphite, along with tobacco and dry spice drawer. Medium body, acid, and finish, with notable spiciness, and flavors of dark red fruits, bitter orange peel, black tea, and spice. Solid.

October 3, 2018 - I am surprised at how consistent my notes for this one are.

This is delicious. It smells great immediately upon opening. Simply a great balance among: fruit, viscosity, sour cherries and smoky finish.

July 19, 2018 - Quite nice. Well integrated oak. Good, modest fruit, balanced acid. Modest tannins. In a tasting with 2005 Levendi quite a few folks preferred the Long Meadow, while I found the Levendi distinctively more interesting and enjoyable, yet they they were fairly similar.

June 4, 2018 - This wine has TOTALLY changed with age. This is a very serious high end cabernet sauvignon now that it has been laid down for years. Subtle oak tones in the nose. Very complex flavors on the palate, too many for this amateur to describe. Long finish, especially after nicely marinated flank steak. WOW, I'll be looking for more!

May 14, 2018 - A very good wine but falls just short of being memorable. Soft tannins and smooth entry. A lingering taste of plum, cedar, and faint tobacco.
I feel I should have opened this 2-3 years ago, but that’s one of the risks of collecting mid-range Napa Cabs. Timing is everything
