    December 22, 2023 - Light gold
Medium bodied, bright acidity, light saline, clearly chablis

January 22, 2023 - Took a little to open up. Showed very well. Rich.

April 7, 2022 - PNP. Light yellow. Lemon, iodine and honey on the nose. Broad palate, sweeter than normal, lower acid but has a redeeming chalky texture coupled to a long finish. More quaffable than usual, but it’s starting to deliver complexity.

December 8, 2021 - A warm vintage Raveneau shows a good balance between fruit, acidity and salinity. Drinking very well but the Foret is clearly less complex and intense than the other prem cru cuvees in 2009. Drinking very well.

February 27, 2021 - Decanted for a couple hours prior to drinking, left in the decanter through the night and drunk over several more hours.

A touch of reduction on the nose that blows off quickly. Chalk, oyster shell and citrus more than orchard fruits on the nose. Powerful and dense, yet simultaneously seemingly weightless for its size. This is a terrific handling of the vintage character. A formidable, viscous wine that is beautifully detailed and has a clarity and focus that makes it seem like you are drinking mineral water. A beautiful coupling of power and grace. Over several hours in the decanter, it gained more focus and soil- chalk driven notes. A delicious wine drinking at peak and an almost implausible success for the vintage. At peak with tons of time in hand. 95
