Community Tasting Notes 5

December 23, 2014 - No improvement from the last bottle two years ago; if anything this has regressed. Light body, decent Chablis nose, but a whopping hole in the mid palate. Finish more rounded than crisp, the whole effort seems to lack balance.

January 11, 2012 - A nose of green apple, wool, slight honeyed florality, lemon and lime.
Dry and medium bodied on the palate with carrying crispy acidity cutting the weight of the warm year pretty nicely. Notes of carambola, honey and lemongrass. Citrusy freshness through the slightly salty mid-palate and the region's signature chalk character emerging in the good length finish.
Pretty nice stuff with both weight and freshness.

May 30, 2011 - Pale yellow gold. Somewhat reductive nose with citrus notes. Medium bodied. Good concentration and intensity showing tart lemon and sour apple flavors. Highly acidic and a bit mouthcoating, this literally dries your palate and brings you right back for more. The finish is long, but seems deceptive as it is laden with minerals and one has to concentrate a bit to take in everything it offers. Good wine to pair with goat cheese or summer salads.

May 3, 2011 - This is a really nice village wine with much more satsisfying zip and grip than most 2009 Chablis. Everything you could ask for from a wine at this level-citrus, saline and mouthfilling.
