  May 23, 2012 - Elegant and restrained, with high-toned cherry and blueberry fruit, with a touch of vanilla. Riper than old world syrah, but much more balanced and fresher than your typical syrupy shiraz.

  March 3, 2012 - Vanilla, sugar cane and all things smooth and sweet on the nose. Lush and rich on the palate. Call it alcoholic fruit-juice, fruit bomb or what have you, this is rather enjoyable, as the excellent name suggests. The Hedonist differentiates itself somewhat with a medium-length, relatively spicy, dry finish.

  nose: intense spice, intense freshness, intense sugar soaked (ripe) plums
  palate: dry acid is med+ and high toned .... (beam of acidity) tannin is very smooth almost silky, body med alc 13 est finish long and jucy, fresh yet like blackberries on vanilla cream
  
  Style note: A pop and pour wine that pleases immediately on first twist (yet may improve later). Immediately likeable flavors of blackberry covered ice cream, extremely concentrated ripe plum/blackberry fruit, the vanilla hints at some oak aging, possibly american. Likely 225 barrels for 15 months.
  
  Pair with ... any marinated steak such as skirt steak where the meat is marinated for many hours in a fruit based sauce.
