Community Tasting Notes 3

April 1, 2011 - Some funkiness and banana peel to go with the sour cherry on the nose. Nice fruit attack but hollow mid-palate with a metallic edge coming through. Subtle tannins and cranberry on the finish. Slightly lacking in guts. Underwhelming.

February 28, 2011 - Bright cherry red, vibrant purple. Young. The nose is lovely bright fruit. Gamay-like. Sweet. The palate is quite full with a distinct bitter edge. Needs food but it is very fruity. There is also a smokey trace with the bitterness. With food this is delicious.

August 29, 2010 - Varietally correct, clean, but not especially compelling. Not unpleasant green pepper notes, a little tarry and lacking elegance. OK but won't buy again.
