Community Tasting Notes 10

February 22, 2024 - Tasted at a dinner on Disney Cruise.

Dried red berries, round tanins, and refined finish (less acidity). Expected more concentration and intensity.

Could have just passed its prime time. But cannot be sure since I have never tasted a 20 years old BDM Riserva before.

May 27, 2018 - Dark fruit nose with male dark fruit on the palate. Sufficient acidity with soft tannins and lengthy finish made this a very enjoyable wine. Wish I had more.

October 26, 2017 - This needs much more time in the cellar or at least a 5 hour decant.

March 14, 2017 - Wow. Looks wise it's incredibly dark, almost deep purple and black). The nose and flavor profile of this wine couldn't be more different. PnP - the nose is incredibly concentrated fruit (dark cherry, blackberry), phenomenal. Let decant over 3 hours, firm tannin, mid to high acidity and earthiness with a bit of menthol on the finish. Little to know fruit on the palate, very long finish. Very nice Brunello.
