    December 18, 2022 - Sunday wines at home (Chicago, IL): Reserve. Meaty and slightly smoky with appropriate weight for a Vacqueras (for some reason in my mind I thought this was a Côtes du Rhône and was very surprised at the tannic structure here. Meaty black fruit, this is mostly a wine of structure at this point. More interesting than good; glad I got to try it but it's getting long in the tooth. Drink up.
