Community Tasting Notes 2

January 6, 2017 - A little disappointing, but still quite enjoyable. The raisiny characteristic was still pronounced. Probably needed more time to open than we allowed. Definitely nearing the end of its drinking window.

December 4, 2010 - Decanted 13 hours (with tastes at various time points) and then consumed over 2 hours. 8AM-11AM in the decanter, nose is shutdown as is palate. At noon, upon vigorous shaking, the first wafts of "Amarone" arising from the decanter while palate begins to show promise, but is quite short. 3PM complexity begins to waft from the decanter along with the finish begining to strech out as well. 5PM the first sign of fruit appears upfront on the palate while the nose is nothing short of intoxicating. 9PM-11PM tastes poured for all in attendance. Descriptions of the palate include: almond paste used in desert patries, dark chocolate, petrol, leather, spice notes, and a warm plum fruit which greets you upon first entry to the palate. All agreed a lovely wine.
