Community Tasting Notes 7

  • ONEFIVE Likes this wine:

    March 17, 2024 - PnP.
Nose gives some dried fruit and soil initially. A bit of iron and red fruit.
Med body, med acid, med tannin.
This is starting to come around based on my last note. I still think it will need some air to fully show itself tonight but it’s pretty damn good upon opening.
Try again in a couple years.

  • ONEFIVE Likes this wine:

April 10, 2022 - Beautiful dark cherry flavors with a touch of bright strawberry and spice.
This was super tight upon opening, medium body, moderate acidity and grippy tannin.
This is a baby still. Hold for another 5.

March 11, 2019 - Black fruits and licorice on the nose and in the mouth. There’s a sweet core of fruit and plenty of earthy nuance. It has good underlying minerality and the finish is a tad astringent.

Extremely tight. Threw it in a decanter.
After about an hour this wine started to blossom.
Ripe red and and black fruit on the nose. Hard to pick much up outside of that, there is some distinct Burgundian flavors but this is just really young.
The palate still indicates years of life ahead. Moderate plus tannins and crisp acidity will keep this fresh for another 15 years at least.

February 13, 2017 - This was very good. Sweet dark cherry fruit. Plenty of mineral. A rich, unctuous palate and stony finish.
