  October 7, 2010 - Nose is a tad reticient but smooth, likeable, moderate with tiny bit of earth and hints of sweet fruits. A bit alcoholic in feel on the nose, light and airy with some perfume. Solid on the palate, balanced in style, a touch of herbal. 89-90

  October 7, 2010 - Amarone tasting (Sherry-Lehmann): This has very good fruit, a complexity that I enjoy very much, and fine structure for 2005, but it is a bit softer than the 2006 and the campo masua 2005. Like several of the 2005, this seemed to hollow out in mid palate, while being open and welcoming on the nose and tongue. The bitter almond/orange wedge botanical note I found in all of Venturinis wines detracts a bit more in the 2005, compared to the more intense fruit of the 2006, where it only adds a pleasant complexity to the finish.

  February 9, 2007 - Red Carpet: Extremely dark, purple scarlet; very intense dark berry fruits, rich, and not sublte. Very good Valp.
