November 19, 2015 - PTCNP (popped the cap n poured). Color garnet. Nose sous bois and green tobacco leaf w pine sap note. Swishing shows acid and some tobacco laced tannin. The earthy more spicy vegetal side of zweigelt. Good value and amazing for $3/L. Doubt that there is ny upside to waiting so drink soon

May 12, 2012 - What a delight to find a $12/liter "table wine" that actually drinks well. Very CDR ish with nice red fruits and a pepper bite finish. Low alc at 12.5%. Reminds me of the house wines we had in Vienna. Buy it, if you can find it. Tremendous value.

April 15, 2011 - This is just such a joyful wine to drink. It just drinks great. It's not the type of wine you sit and ponder, but to call it simple doesn't do it justice. Good fruit, never overly sweet. Great balance and terrific lift. I know it's finished with a bottle cap and it only cost $12, but this wine brought me more happiness than many others costing much more.

March 13, 2011 - Opens with grapey fresh aromas much like gamay. Supported by good density of fruit and a spicy note behind the initial fruit wave. Problem here, and it may be vintage related (and may settle down) is that it comes off as a bit sweet and ripe. Shows 12,5% alcohol, but feels like there is maybe some RS. This needs to be drier with perhaps a bit more acid and I'd be all over it. Great QPR though, super wine for parties I'd bet (in its 1L bottle it goes that extra bit) and probably very good with summer grilled fare. I'll try the remains cooler tonight and won't give up quite yet.

March 3, 2011 - Excellent for the price. Bright berry fruit, minerals, and food-friendly acidity.
