October 7, 2023 - Opened 18 hours before drinking and poured a little out to taste then decanted three hours before dinner. Initial taste on open was quite tight, although less tannic than other barolos I have tried, but very muted aromas and flavors. This was still somewhat the case before decanting but some flavors like cherry and dried rose petal as well some spice had emerged. Following the three hour decant this bottle was really great. Dried cherries, rose petals, sandalwood aromas. Same flavors with some additional savory vegetal notes. Some sweetness on the finish that was very pleasant. Well integrated tannins and medium + acidity. Very enjoyable bottle

November 27, 2021 - Drinking well, lots of savoury fruit, tannines and acids almost completely resolved.

December 16, 2018 - I opened this on a whim. At about hour three it showed its pedigree and was an incredibly rewarding Barolo full of fruit, depth, and structure. It is still imposing and chewy, but in a really good way. I've had experiences with other top vintages of this wine ('07, '10) but this was my favorite of the lot. Truly exceptional. Drink now with a healthy decant if you like your Barolo on the younger side, but for those who have the patience this one should be stunning in 5-10 years and drink well for 15+.

May 17, 2016 - Still very young and only started opening up after an hour or so. Hardly had a nose when opened but developed fruit and leather aromas thereafter. Great balance of licorice, cherries, spice and leather. Enjoyable fruit tannins and just right amount of acidity albeit on the warm side. Overall showing great potential for a revisit after years in the cellar.

December 26, 2014 - A classic Barolo in a restrained, feminine style. On the palate, dark cherry and sandalwood with fine, dusty tannins.
