March 15, 2014 - Opened as part of a Buchignani vertical tasting from the cellar. Color is still excellent but flavors tend toward, not surprisingly, a zin past it's prime. Nose of earth, tar, remnants of dried cherries. A bit oxidized. Flavors of dried herbs, tobacco and leather. Still has some solid structure.
