September 27, 2013 - The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Strawberry, Raspberry, and Cherry. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Long. John and Christine's wine. My GO TO PINOT NOIR. Always great.

August 4, 2013 - Big, concentrated, red fruit up front, with some herbs and spice on the back end. This was tasty, but a bit heavier than I normally prefer in a Pinot. I think I actually prefer the lower priced Sun, as it's a bit less extracted and seemed more complex. I haven't tried them both from the same vintage though. Plus, this bottle might have shown more with a bit more time and/or decanting.

November 3, 2012 - Dinner Party @ Home (Costa Brava, 11 Island Avenue, #412): - Purple color with fast forming legs and aromas of raspberry, strawberry and violet. It's in total harmony and has flavours of raspberry and strawberry with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish.

July 13, 2012 - P-n-P, this wine had a rather amazing nose of pomegranate and strong black tea. The back end was really quite earthy and herbal, but the nose was very expressive overall. In 2 hours a red cherry scent also appeared, and I am sure if the bottle has lasted, it would have become more pronounced.

The wine has a great deal of density to it, something I do not always note in wines, but do always find in wines made by Paul Lato. More pomegranate and herbs coming through here on the palate. The juice/fruit component seems big, but not overpowering. At the 2 hour mark, I am getting some more dark fruit like blueberry or cherry.

This bottle was really great throughout the evening, a great SRH pinot that while featuring fruit first, does not let itself get out of control.
