July 1, 2016 - After opening let it sit for 30 min. The aromas then opened up and the strange funky smell went away. Nice spice with dark fruit berries. Good acidity and great finish.

May 31, 2016 - Terrific freshness for a seven year old Paso Syrah. Bright florals, berry compote and pepper on the nose. Repeated on the palate but the acidity is side-by-side with the fruit and the fine, grainy tannins. Well done, Mac!

Hugely expressive nose of blackberry, dark cherry, and peppery spice.
Palate - blackberry, woody notes, smoked meats, lavender, and pepper
Plush mouthfeel, balanced acidity, full bodied, integrated tannins on the long finish. Overall, this is a wonderful wine with complexity and depth as well as an outstanding mouthfeel.1 person found this helpful Comment
