Community Tasting Notes 2

  • SAND Likes this wine:

October 15, 2014 - Nose: More or less the same, relatively young, lively citrusy and peachy Riesling fruit as when tasted last (in 2010). Very pure and "clean" fruit.
Taste & palate: The same young citrus and peach fruit here also. Steely, mineral laden backbone. Quite "slim" (rather than light) wine, but so full of fruit, so long in taste and concentrated that it bears in it the promises of a richer wine once it starts to mature properly.
A great, dry Riesling spätlese and a classic, top-vintage Rheingau!
This seems to be a wine for the long haul and I would not be surprised if it would live well beyond its 20th birthday.

    June 4, 2010 - Farge:
Duft: Fet, nesten smøraktig, fersken, litt sitrus.
Smak: Frisk, fruktig, mye syre, middels fylde og en viss rikhet, alt i alt bra fylde til å være en spätlese.
Virker ungdommelig, med flere år å gå på.
