    March 13, 2023 - A really wonderful, complex nose.

On the palate ... a very good Sherry but not one that excited me. One of those cases where the price was an influencing factor as at half the cost I'd buy again but there are other Sherries I prefer at this price point.

Still looking forward to trying the other VORS Sherries in this series (the Pedro Domecq soleras).

January 30, 2023 - Slightly darker orange-brown color. Quite dry, full bodied (no doubt from the greater concentration obtained by prolonged maturation), medium acid, high alcohol at 19%. long finish.

Still do get a twang of salty freshness, but it's in the background. This is more caramel and prunes. Nose and palate are expectedly highly intense.

    Paired successfully with roasted chicken.

April 4, 2021 - Lighter amber color, nose of sea tang, roasted nuts: walnuts, pecans. Medium intensity, great elegance.
On the palate quite intense, tangy and sharp ,but very elegant and aristocratic. Long finish.
A wonderful opening for our Easter lunch.
These old amontillados are something to behold... I love them

March 24, 2021 - Pnp. Might be some bottle variation. The last bottle was chock full o nuts. This is very acidic and more complex. Preserved lemon, varnish, sandalwood. It's a very good wine. It went great with dried meat. Very dry and acidic.

July 2, 2020 - Pnp. Very nutty with a long, long finish. However, unpleasant and chemical. I might clean the bathroom with it providing a nutty aroma I'll try again over coming days and see what happens. I'm hoping it's an off bottle or my nose and palate broke. Currently undrinkable.

Day 2: A little smoother. A little more interesting.. A little better. Still not good. The finish is more wood than nut.

Day 6: a little more improvement. Profile is the same. Just easier to drink or I'm getting used to it. Finish is still wood.
