August 1, 2023 - Medium tawny-brick. Plum, leather, mineral, floral, dried orange peel, grape, pomegranate, brandy. Medium sweet, medium plus acidity and tannins, high alcohol, full body.

December 23, 2022 - Bought in mid eighties for $11 per bottle at TJ's.
Ruby color. Nose heavy with walnut and more subtle strawberry jam.
Luscious and fat in the mouth. Tasty with black cherry and alcohol. Cough syrup linger. Tasty.

March 16, 2021 - As expected, now past its best. Pale, clear ruby red centre, hints of amber at the rim. Spirit flavours dominate. Once they’ve dissipated, you get spice and sugar, but the lingering impression is spirit driven warmth.

November 21, 2020 - Further to my Note of Feb 1 '19: Nov 21 '20 is the date we finished this bottle which had been opened several months earlier and stored in cool room with tight vacuvin. This continues to please as a simple, aged port that endures, if well stored, for weeks after opening. Glad to have more that will hit age 40 next year. Solid outstanding-.

June 15, 2020 - onctuous, fullbodied, lots of red fruit and plenty of alcohol, last tasted in 1991, still no flaws and very enjoyable now, lucky me....
