December 1, 2012 - 9.2+ actually. This was a good specimen of Lewis Merlot. I don't have any formal tasting notes but it was solid from nose to finish. I think it was a bit hot, which is typical and knocked it down a point.

February 15, 2011 - Drank during superbowl. It was a nice thick red, with nose of cedar and cinnimon. Mouthfeel was classic lewis, full bodied and forward, but also layered with red currant, boysenberry and dark plum intermixed with mocha and vanilla notes. Also some subtle earthy notes, and sage. Great bottle, as always from Lewis.
