May 10, 2012 - Gazzar Bordeaux Primeur 2011 Degustation (Zurich, Switzerland): subtle nose with some ink; balanced in the mouth; strong, med-long finish.

December 8, 2011 - Lots of vanilla and blackcurrant, soft tannins. Elegant and equally good with venison stew as on its own

August 19, 2011 - Quite lush, almost right-bank. Good quality oak.

July 18, 2011 - Decanted for approx 90 mins. Really nice nose of blackcurrent, cedar and vanilla. Quite powerful in the mouth, good forward fruit, well balanced acidity and nicely judged oak. The palate gives no extra suprises, following the nose precisely to a good finish with nice, gripping tannins. Will obviously keep, but drinking very well right now.

June 3, 2011 - Straight from the bottle without decanting! A little shy at the very beginning, but shining after 20 minutes in the glass, nose of dark fruits with a touch of oak cask, very mild! What I do appreciate is the depth of the fruits, very intense! Though a bit simple! On the palate, again, very deep very intense dark fruits which echos the nose very well! This is a complete Pauillac and a very skillfully made Pauillac! Fantastic value in my opinion! No doubt, vintage 2008 is a solid one on the left bank in the Bordeaux region!
